Suitcase talen offers intensive Dutch courses in Almere.

The quality of Dutch courses (NT2, Dutch as a second language) at Suitcase talen is high. If you want to learn Dutch (Dutch as a second language, NT2) at Suitcase talen in a group course, you meet twice a week during 2 hours. You participate in a small, very interactive group of 2-9 students. Your course is at the end of the afternoon (17:30-19:30) or later in the evening (19:45-21:45). Expect 4-6 hours homework per week and speak as much Dutch as possible at home or at work.

 

Civic integration (inburgeren) at Suitcase talen

The Netherlands are waiting for a new Law on Civic Integration. When Duch government gives more details about the Civic Integration Exam (probably at level B1) changes in schedules and learning programmes of Suitcase talen may follow. The schedule below is valid until January 1st 2020.

Option 1: Civic integration (Inburgeren) with the Civic Integration Exam on level A2 (Inburgeringsexamen)

you passed the exam, schoolbag and Dutch flagYou passed the Basic Civic Integration Examination Abroad. You want to take the Civic Integration Exam Netherlands with the parts Reading, Listening, Wrtiting and Speaking. In case you have no work, you have to pass KNM (Knowledge of Dutch Society ) and ONA (Orientation on the Dutch Jobmarket) as well.

At Suitcase talen you do the course BeginnersA2 in order to reach the required language level A2

After you  have passed the parts of the Civic Integration Exam Netherlands, you have complied with your civic integration requirements and you may ask for a permanent residence permit or naturalization.

At the moment (2019) the Civic Integration Exam on level A2 is enough to get your permanent residence permit or your passport.  On level A2 however you are still struggling with the language. If you want to reach a higher language level there are two other options for the residence permit or the passport:  State Exam NT2 Programme I (on level B1) or  State Exam NT2 Programme II  (on level B2).

Option 2: Civic integration (Inburgeren) with State Exam Programme I (Staatsexamen I)

MolenDec014MiddelYou pass the State Exam in Dutch as a second Language State Exam NT2 (Dutch as a second Language)  after completing two evening courses (BeginnersA2  and B1). In case you do not work, have to pass ONA as well.

With State Exam NT2 Programme I you have complied with your civic integration requirements and you may ask for a permanent residence permit or naturalization. At language level B1 (see language levels CEFR) you know enough Dutch to function socially and to arrange practical matters. You can work in Dutch in intermediate jobs and you have admission to a Dutch school for intermediate professional education (mbo).

Option 3: Civic integration (Inburgeren) with State Exam Programme II (Staatsexamen II)

State Exam NT2 Programme II after completing three evening courses (BeginnersA2, B1 and B2) and, on Saturday morning, Exam training State Exam Programme II.

In case you do not work, have to pass ONA as well.

After having passed State Exam II you have complied with your civic integration requirements and you may ask for a permanent residence permit or naturalization. At language level B2 (see language levels CEFR) you know more than enough Dutch to function socially and to arrange practical matters. You have admission to Dutch higher professional education (hbo) and University (wo) to study in Dutch. Also, you laid the language foundation for a higher function in a Dutch company or organization.

Group course Beginners (NT2) A2

BeirDiasBordTo enter in this intensive language course, you know no Dutch or you have passed the Basic Civic Integration Exam Abroad. You are on the civic integration track (inburgering), or you have an employer, partner or children who encourage you to learn Dutch. You meet twice a week during two hours and you do 4-6 hours homework per week, using the textbook and the internet. After 5 weeks you complete four tests on level A1 and at the end of the course you complete fourt tests that tell you whether you have reached your target

You want to improve your Dutch for social contacts or because your children start speaking Dutch. You want to speak and understand Dutch, but also to read texts on intermediate level and to write texts on intermediate level..You meet twice a week during two hours and you do 4-6 hours homework per week. At the end of the course you complete four tests that tell you whether you have reached your target level B1.

You are on the civic integration track (inburgering), or have an employer, partner or children who encourage you to study Dutch grammar and speak and write better Dutch. This course has a lot of reading and wrting. Reading texts will be discussed in class.You meet twice a week during two hours and you do 4-6 hours homework per week. At the end of the course you complete four tests that tell you whether you have reached your target (on your way to) level B2.

Exam training State Exam II

HasmikNadjaExamentrainingNT2BenedenMiddelIn order to enter this exam training, you know already Dutch as a second language on level on your way to B2 (see language levels CEFR).You want to raise your language level in order to pass the NT2 Exam Programme II, shortly after the exam training. You meet once a week during three hours and you do 8-10 hours homework per week. During the training you complete four test exams that will be revised in accordance with the exam norms.

You do the State Exam II (€ 180,-) after the exam training at one of the exam locations, Amsterdam or Zwolle.

  • to speak, understand, read and write Dutch on level B2
  • examination training for the NT2 Exam Programme II
  • 4 test exams by a former examinor State Exams NT2
