Grammar B1 Module
The Grammar B1 module is intended for Delftse methode students who have completed Module 6. You can take this module simultaneously with Module 7, or separately. The course lasts 5 weeks. Grammar B1 is required for students preparing for the Civic Integration Exam B1.

Study Approach
You prepare each lesson at home using Suitcase talens worksheets. In class, you’ll practice the topics you’ve prepared together with the teacher. Students can ask questions and receive explanations and feedback. There is no test or certificate: the focus is on insight, repetition, and practical application.

What You'll Learn
You’ll learn to better understand and apply the grammatical structure of Dutch at the B1 level. The module covers sentence structures and grammatical themes that correspond to Lessons 1–40 of the Delftse methode B1 book.
In this module, you’ll practice using the Delftse methode grammar at the B1 level. You’ll learn to create and use regular verb tenses and practice with irregular verbs. You’ll learn to construct long sentences with the correct word order. You’ll also practice using “er.” The grammar follows the Tweede Ronde of the Delft Method, but is explained more clearly and practiced in practice.

About the teacher
Margreet Kwakernaak, NT2 teacher and author of Dutch for Dummies, is responsible for the design and supervision of the Grammar Module B1 at Suitcase talen. She has been teaching expats and professionals who want to learn Dutch quickly and effectively for over 25 years.
