Terms and Conditions and Privacy Regulations of Suitcase talen
Your online registration is a contract with Suitcase talen. By registering you agree to the General Termsand Privacy Regulations.
Payment and cancellation of the modules
Students pay in advance per module and will not receive a refund if they cancel or stop during the module.
If another party pays for the student, all planned modules will be paid in advance by the contractor (the employer or another body) in one go. The contractor will not receive a refund if the student does not complete the planned modules.
Payment and cancellation of private lessons
The student pays for private lessons in advance in a block of 5 or 10 lessons. Students will not get a refund when they cancel or stop during a block.
The following rules apply to companies and institutions:
The contractor (the employer or some other authority) pays the bill in one go before the start of the course. Even if the student does not complete the course, the contracting party will not receive a refund.
Cancellation by Suitcase talen
If there are not enough students, Suitcase talen can cancel a module by email, up to 5 working days before the start of a module. If the module has already been paid, the contractor can wait until the start of the same module 5 weeks later, or ask Suitcase talen to refund the amount.
Presence in class
If students go on vacation or become ill during a module, they can take the lessons online or (before class!) request a recording of the lesson.
If the teacher is unable to teach the lesson, a solution will be provided.
Privacy policy
Data collected about the students, such as master data (name, address, date of birth), but also data about the progress of the students are used by Suitcase talen according to the AVG (General Data Protection Regulation).
Personal data is not be provided to third parties.
The teacher who has administered and assessed the tests will inform the students about their test results and the way in which this assessment was made. Suitcase talen uses custom tests based on what has been studied so far. On special request and within 48 hours after the test, a completed test can be viewed by the student.The result, which is determined according to fixed standards cannot be discussed.
One year after the end of your course, all papers produced by students that are in possession of Suitcase talen will be destroyed, unless we are allowed tot use the student’s product for educational purposes with the student's permission, at least for the training of language teachers or a textbook.
The data about the course and the result of each student's course, such as starting level, the final level, and course duration are kept for one year after the course has been completed for possible checks by clients, certifiers or other bodies that monitor the quality of Suitcase talen.
The students may request Suitcase talen to view, correct or delete (part of) their personal data,- insofar as they are not necessary for school procedures.
The student has the right to data portability: the right to transfer personal data.
Students have the right to revoke previously given permission for the use of their personal data.
In case students have complaints about their privacy in relation to Suitcase talen, they can follow the complaint procedure.
The staff of Suitcase talen may only use the personal data of students under the condition of confidentiality.
Student data is stored digitally or on paper according to security standards that are standard for offices:computers protected by strong passwords and security software. The location is secured by burglar and fire alarms.
